Alternative interfaces ?

Dear ALL,
I know if I want to connect to a remote MS SQL database I can use Enterprise
Manager directly (not much secure) or establish a vpn connection before
activating Enterprise Manager.
I'd like to know if there are Microsoft or Thirdy Party applications
(stand alone applications or via http) in order to get a connection to a
remote database without using Enterprise Manager.

there are quite a lot of alternatives to EM. Although most of them are
not for free. You can try EMS SQL Manager http://www.sqlmanager.net/
which also has a free Lite version, or MS Web data Adminstrator at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...&DisplayLang=en
Markus|||My experience has been that using EM/QA is MUCH faster if it is running on
the remote machine and I connect to the remote machine through the VPN
tunnel -rather than marshalling EM/QA through the VPN tunnel.
